Is it still necessary to introduce a pianist whom many consider the greatest among the greats? Although the debate is open and could even be endless, it is certain that few musicians can boast of becoming a legend in their lifetime and having a successful career spanning over 60 years.

But the interest in listening to Vladimir Horowitz interpret Rachmaninoff is, so to speak, to have the impression of rubbing shoulders with Rachmaninoff himself. Indeed, it is fortunate to have an interpreter who was friends with the composer himself, thus becoming a link, a generational connection that creates closeness between us and Rachmaninoff.

The master's 3rd concerto is inseparable from Vladimir Horowitz. He was its greatest advocate and champion, which led to his success in his exams in 1920 and through three legendary recordings at different periods of his career (1930, 1951, and 1979). This 1951 version is undoubtedly the most beautiful synthesis of his art. This remastered edition is far superior to all preceding editions.
